Why Mo-saiQ

Nikole’s personal experience of often being the “only” person of color and woman in spaces filled with individuals with immense academic and social capital deeply informs her leadership at Mo-saiQ. Having faced questions and doubts about her presence in such rooms, Nikole developed a profound understanding of the barriers that Black and brown professionals and students face in navigating spaces that were not built for them. Mo-saiQ’s mission to provide culturally affirming resources and create a supportive network stems from Nikole’s personal drive to ensure that individuals who are often underestimated never have to question their worth or belonging in academic and professional arenas. Her leadership is rooted in dismantling systemic barriers and amplifying the brilliance of marginalized voices.
