Empowering Innovators of Color to Transform the World

We envision a future liberated from racial barriers, where all young people, especially Black, Latinx and Indigenous talent are celebrated, valued and thrive in STEM and entrepreneurship careers, driving innovation and shaping a world where opportunity knows no limits.

EMPOWERING FUTURE INNOVATORS

Mo-saiQ empowers Black, Latinx, and Indigenous youth in STEM and entrepreneurship by leveraging the lived experiences of its Black women founders—MIT and UNC graduates with advanced degrees in engineering, education, and business. They understand the roadblocks and recognize the untapped talent often overlooked in formal education and extracurricular programs. Mo-saiQ bridges these gaps by building social capital, providing equitable academic opportunities, and celebrating cultural identities. By fostering a supportive network and offering culturally-affirming resources, we empower scholars to navigate and excel in their educational and career paths, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and leadership.

Our Reach

Mo-saiQ is dedicated to empowering young people of color in STEM and entrepreneurship across DC Metro, North Carolina, and Massachusetts, with a vision for national impact. Through strategic partnerships, a robust online platform, and targeted initiatives, we aim to foster innovation and equity across the U.S through the untapped brilliance of our scholars.

WHO WE SERVE

Mo-saiQ empowers high-achieving high school (9th-12th) and first year post-secondary young people,  which we believe are the majority of our youth, who are Black, Latinx, and Indigenous, primarily from the DC Metro Area, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. Our scholars are curious, ambitious, and interested in STEM or entrepreneurship, though they may lack traditional academic credentials. We target students who have earned a C or higher in Algebra 1 or scored in the top quintile on a 9th-grade math assessment. Our scholars face unique challenges due to systemic and resource-based disparities, resulting in lower academic confidence and limited access to advanced educational tools, experiences and opportunities. Despite these obstacles, our students possess the skills and determination needed for success.

Mo-saiQ is committed to propel 50K young people into their STEM and Entrepreneurship career pathways by 2035.
