STEM Strategist & Equity Advocate
Dr. Ashley Huderson is a nationally recognized STEM leader with over 15 years of experience advancing equitable access to STEM education. Her work spans program design, workforce development, and policy, with a focus on building inclusive pathways from K–12 through early career.
As Senior Director of Programs at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), she leads global initiatives that support aspiring engineers and expand access to high-impact learning experiences. Previously, she served as a STEM and Computer Science Equity Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education, shaping national strategies to broaden participation in STEM.
Dr. Huderson is a published scholar on urban STEM education and has received national recognition, including the BEYA Modern-Day Technology Leader Award. She holds a B.S. from Spelman College, a Ph.D. from Meharry Medical College, and an MBA from Georgetown University.
